With the release of GTA4, I'm not sure which console I should buy. PS3 is more powerful, but the XBOX has better games and online capabilities. I'm hoping PS3 will continue to gain in popularity so I'm not left out in the cliché phrase when I wanna drive-by nigga-poppin' pskew peeow-peeow bulletsaflyin' online gameplayin'. Yah'm'sayin'? What console would you recommend? Anyone? One of you two members? Anyone at all? |

| Id go with the 360, better games, better online, better gfx, better cpu. Sure the ps3 has 8 cores or watever, but they arn't even in use right now. Why would I wanna wait a year or two to get the fullest out of my gaming console. The xbox 360 is the way to go. Especially since the new models are more stable. |

Yeah but those cored will be put to use someday. The potential to be great is undesirable simply because it isn't being utilized at the moment? Plus the PS3 has the BluRay going for it. Standalone BluRay players are going for ~$300, so counting that separately, the game player portion of the PS3 is the same price as the 360. |

Yeah they will be put to use someday, but I bought my gaming console to play now, not at year from now. What you've basically got if you go for the ps3 is a sweet blue ray player that kinda has games to play. Where Xbox has way better games, and you can play it now. If you're going for a ps3, id wait till the price drops a year or two from now, that way you can get a cheaper console, and utilize the cores that will be in use.

Ya fuckin' simple? I can play the PS3 now. All I was saying is right now, the PS3's power is being utilized on par with the 360. The true power has yet to be unleashed. But I would want the ability to play my holographic games in the future when game companies come out with that technology. And guess who'll be able to play those holographic games? The PS3, that's who. And the XBOX players will have their heads buried in their mother's vaginas, crying, because they wanted a console for today. You gotta plan for the future. You seem to be the one who is simple, since the ps3 is only utilizing its cores at about 20% where the xbox is using more around 80-85%, that doesn't seem like the ps3 is being utilized on par with the 360. As far as red rings of death, the new shipments of xboxes have been revamped so that overheating is much less prone to happen unless you're putting your 360 in the oven for some reason. Holographic porn on the ps3? Please, get your head out of the gutter sir. |

No, you're the one who is the simple one. What I meant of "on par", was performancewise. The PS3 is only using 20% of its power whereas the 360 is using 85%, yet they are both ON PAR with each other. Meaning, if the PS3 was operating at 85%, it would surpass the 360's performance fourfold. And about the RRoD issue, it's still happening. The XBOX's shrunk their core size to 65nm process but it's still hotter than a stolen tamale. So when you're tossin' your 360 into a bucket of chilled KY Lube, I'll be instead spreading it on my genitals, readying them up for holo-porn. |
